Just a quick update...
As the title of this post indicates, I have not, indeed, fallen off the face of the earth. I just haven't sat down to actually update since then.
School is good. I can't beleive how fast this semester has gone by. It's frickin November already...(though it has suddenly gotten quite warm out, which disappoints me. I happen to enjoy chilly, grey Novembers)...they're already starting to put up Christmas lights downtown!!
I register for classes tomorrow...and besides new classes, I also have a new job!!! Whoo!!! The only thing is that orchestra has finally been shafted...I'm going to stay with it and play the next concert in a couple weeks, but once I start working I won't be able to get an early enough train to get to rehearsal. :-( For the first time, I will have no rehearsals to go to. Weird. But I'm pretty sure I can finish my degree by the end of the summer, and then I shall look into community groups to play with. So I guess I'm just on a brief hiatus, during which time I can practice some stuff on my own that would probably be good for future auditions.
Alrighty. With that said, I will be heading off to Borders to try and finish reading a book for my history class...and going there will most likely result in me buying at least one cd...I'm thinking "Swan Lake", since I went to the Kirov's matinee (student matinee) last Thursday. I absolutely love that ballet. And the music has been in my head since then. I even got my parents tickets to it for their anniversary, and they loved it as well.
Okay. Going now. Really. Tons of reading to do.
