From the left: the bar's "tiny bubbles" flight, consisting of three delicious sparkling wines, including a prosecco from Italy. Then came the fruit and cheese plate, and then some yummy little teacakes with chocolate chips and blueberries, accompanied by an espresso. (I've been ordering espresso more and more often, I've discovered.) Everything I had was really good. It's a great place to chill out with friends (especially after work!) and enjoy some great wine.
Saturday night found me in Wicker Park at a Nepalese/Indian restaurant called Cumin. (Their website isn't quite finished, but I thought I'd link to it anyway.) It's rather new, and really good. Before I even get to the food, the interior is very sleek and modern, with tasteful colors and furniture. The whole atmosphere was very cool and relaxed. I really liked the food as well. My friend and I started out with the chicken momo,
which is a Nepalese dish, and very tasty. For dinner I had the chicken kadhai, an Indian dish, (which I'm probably spelling wrong, but their menu isn't available online yet!) and the masala tea. The chicken was very flavorful, served with basmati rice, and the tea was very light and refreshing. (An interesting word to describe a hot tea, but it was.) I am definitely going back to try some other things!
