Last night I met some friends in Lakeview for dinner at Wilde, an Irish/American pub dedicated to the coolness that is Oscar Wilde. The place is absolutely gorgeous inside, and is attired with pictures of the author and a little library-like section! I loved it!! If Oscar Wilde was alive today, I think I could picture him here, and wouldn't that be cool...to chill out and have a drink with Oscar Wilde! *ahem* Anyway, it's a very cool place in general...the outdoor seating area even has open-flame torches, but it was a bit chilly last night, so I'll have to wait until next summer to sit outside. Their menu includes a good number of local beers, including the elusive but delicious Green Line Beer. For my dinner I had the "Wilde" macaroni and cheese, which is made with Irish cheddar and embellished with onions, garlic, tomatoes, and BACON! (It's also topped with some toasty parmesan...mmm...) So...some pictures:
On the left...they put Oscar on their plates! : ) And on the right is my mac & cheese. Hell yes.
