I just finished reading "The Alchemist's Daughter" by Katharine McMahon. I liked it, but for some reason thought I would like it more than I actually did. But still a good read. I found the story to be rather dark, but with a promising ending. But I like dark stories. Tomorrow I think I'll check out some Virginia Woolf, as I was inspired to do after watching "The Hours" this evening. (I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!) I'm also currently listening to Gorecki's Symphony No. 3 at this very moment. I seem to be on a dark lit/music streak. lol Anyway, on to something more uplifing and cheerful...
Dave and I hung out yesterday...lunch at The Grapevine (yum!), followed by bowling. In the evening we went downtown for a swing dance at Grant Park, which we unfortunately never found...because we neglected to check the part of GP where it happened to be, and by doing so I feel quite stupid. lol At any rate, we had a lovely walk around the park, got some Jamba Juice, and then went to a concert at Millenium Park. All in all, a very nice day. :-)
Tomorrow shall be filled with many random things...I would like to get some writing done, as I haven't worked on the book I've almost finished in at least a week...and I started making notes for another one...ugh, I'm insane. lol I need to just finish one.
