I wish I were a ballerina. (I believe I've mentioned this before...:-P)
David and I saw "Cinderella" last night. Very very good. As far as the music was concerned, not really my favorite ballet music, but the performance as a whole was pretty awesome. The dancing was graceful and elegant, and the costumes were gorgeous. Comic relief was provided by the stepsisters, who were played by men. They got some of the loudest cheers and applause. I love the Joffrey. And I love the Auditorium Theater. It's so pretty.
Before the show I went on another tour of Pullman (this time with my family), and it was a house tour, so we got to actually go inside some of the residences. They've obviously been renevated to accomodate modern living, so it's really the exteriors that are interesting, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.
Friday night Kristen and I went to Caribou to catch up. I had promised to call her weeks ago but then got pretty busy with schoolwork and I felt bad for never having called. So it was good to finally hang out and talk. We ended up discussing Shakespeare a lot (I don't really remember how lol) and we're thinking of going to see "King Lear" at the Goodman.
That afternoon I went to the King Tut exhibit at the Field Museum with my family. It was pretty cool...they had some interesting artifacts, and all the stuff I learned from the Ancient Egypt Archeology class I took freshman year came back to me, so I felt smart. lol I was kind of hoping for a little more, but I still really liked it. Ancient Egypt has always been one of my major interests. I just wanted to see more stuff from his actual tomb, that was more directly related to him...most of it had to do with the period before his reign, which (duh) is very relevant, but I would have liked more of the focus to be on him. But anyway. Still extremely interesting.
So...that's pretty much it for now.
Ta-ta.
