I seemed to have skipped October completely and moved right into November...
Lots going on, but there are some things I can quickly write about.
First symphony concert went very well. Even "La Valse" went more smoothly than I expected, and that made me really happy. In general, it was one of our better performances, and I even had random audience members come up to me afterward to offer their positive reactions to the concert. Yay!
I hope to say the same for our next performance, consisting of Bach (Brandenburg 5), Mozart (Sym. 25), Vivaldi (Gloria), and Puccini (Crisantemi). I love the program. Love it. Each of these pieces is beautiful, and in different ways. My excitement for this is growing...only a couple more weeks!!
I have been able to do some writing (!!!!) and will be submitting a short story to a contest within the next month. It just needs a bit more editing and it'll be on its way. Thanks to everyone who's read it and given me awesome feedback!! I feel good about this one. : )
Recent CD purchases have taken the route of more popular music...the newest releases from Train and Rob Thomas. I am loving both...especially "Save Me, San Francisco" by Train. Neither the music nor the lyrics are that complex, but it's fun, it's catchy, and seeing as I do have an emotional connection to San Francisco, I love it and have been playing it multiple times in a row...;-)
I register for spring semester in a few weeks, and if I get the classes I want, I should be halfway done with my degree by the end of the semester! Whoo! Once I realized that I will most likely finish within my estimated time frame, I was very excited. It's a good feeling. : )
Well. This was short, but I just wanted to catch up a bit. Now...do I read or do some research? : )
