I love coffee shops. Besides providing healthy doses of caffeine, I love their general atmosphere. They are places where, though usually not quiet, I can relax, read, get work done, and hang out with my friends. The first lucky coffee shop to be featured on my little blog is The Noble Tree, in Lincoln Park. It was my first time there, and with only one visit, it has made its way to my list of favorites. I had a very good cappuccino, complete with a heart in the foam:
Aw. Besides the above deliciousness, Noble Tree has three floors of rather randomly placed seating, which is always so much better than the organized collection of matching tables and chairs found at the better known chain coffee shops, which shall remain nameless...
Just as important as the coffee is the artwork. My favorite piece at Noble Tree has to be this collection of open books mounted on a wall. At the bottom corner is a lamp, the shade of which is covered with book pages:
Cool artwork + smooth cappuccino = happiness.
