I post often about my orchestra concerts, and our next happens to be February 28th. It's our opera concert, and we will feature overtures, arias, and dance pieces from a wide variety of operas. It's one of my favorite programs so far, and I'm so excited! One of the pieces I really enjoy playing is the selection of Polovtsian Dances from the opera Prince Igor. I'm not very familiar with the storyline, but after playing some of the music from it, I'd definitely like to see it if I get the chance. I did find a clip of the dances, performed by the Kirov Opera and Ballet, under the direction of Valery Gergiev:
