Flashing back

Best song on the radio on my way home from last night's rehearsal? "Say It Ain't So", by Weezer. Brought me back to 6th grade, when my whole class went completely wild for that song. (That one and "Ironic", by Alanis Morrisette.) It was a nice trip to "back in the day". I thought for a minute about what my students would think of the music that Miss K. listened to when she was in school, and realized that they'd probably give me looks saying something to the effect of "Our teacher is old and crazy and listens to weird music." haha Then I think about what they listen to and...enough said.

And now, as I sit in a coffee shop doing homework and listening to the indie music on the speakers, I am reminded of my days spent at Espresso Royale at U of I doing much the same. That also seems so long ago. (Almost 4 years! Eek!!) Of course, the one across from Krannert Center is better than the one across from the psych building. Most definitely.

Speaking of that homework, perhaps I'd better get to it...
