Last night also included a trip to Paciugo, a gelateria that recently opened on Broadway (also near Broadway and Belmont). Oh man. Best gelato of my life. First of all, while their sizes are normal, they allow you to mix flavors...up to 5 in the large! Their gelato is homemade, and the most popular flavor is the Mediterranean Sea Salt Caramel, which I think I will try on my next trip. They let you sample whatever you want, so out of curiousity I tried the Pepe Nero, which was a milk-based gelato flavored with black pepper and olive oil. So good. As yummy as that was, I went for a combination of Chocolate Chocolate Chip and Strawberry Rose, which is like having a giant ice cream party in your mouth. Pair it with an espresso, and...I don't even have words for it. Not to mention the bright, modern interior, which also has a touch of the traditional ice cream parlor feel to it. So. Good.
I mean, really, can it get any better?? : )
