Pilsen Post #1

Just a couple quick posts from last night before I get back to my reading for Monday's class...

(And unfortunately, I forgot my camera last night, so there will be no pictures. Boo.)

I went out to celebrate a friend's birthday last night and we hit up a few very awesome places in Pilsen. The first was El Nuevo Leon, on 18th. (Actually, everywhere we went last night was on 18th.) It was delicious. I had chicken enchiladas with tomatillo salsa, and they were very good. Everyone liked their meals, and it's BYOB so we got to bring our own wine! Whoo! It was pretty busy, but we got seated rather quickly for having a large group. Everything on the menu looked really good, so I will have to go back.

Our third stop (the 2nd will get its own post), was Simone's, a rather cool and swanky place with a bar that looked like a control station at NASA. I was only able to stay for a little bit due to an early rehearsal this morning, but it was a fun place. Lots of interesting seating too, especially the little loft area by the DJ where we ended up sitting. Would like to go back there, as well!
