The Architect
Another book has been read...Loving Frank by Nancy Horan. It chronicled the love affair of Frank Lloyd Wright and Mamah Borthwick at the beginning of the 20th century. I was impressed with Horan's writing and how she as able to recreate Oak Park and Chicago at the turn of the century. I've been on the Frank Lloyd Wright architecture tour in Oak Park and have spent a lot of time there, so I loved reading a book that mentioned streets and places that I know. : ) I loved all the little details that Horan used, especially with regard to Wright's work. It was easy to picture everything very clearly, and the story was very compelling. It's a good historical read, and I just love anything that has to do with Oak Park. ;-) I'll have to see if she has any other books!
