I finsihed "The Mermaid Chair" by Sue Monk Kidd on Monday. In all honesty, not my favorite book in the whole world, but I didn't dislike it. There was something about her writing style/voice that didn't hit me right. I'm not even sure I can explain what it is. The story itself was pretty good, there was just something about the writing. It wasn't bad, just...I don't know. I don't have very strong feelings for it either way.
Hung out with Dave downtown yesterday and Monday. Monday we were going to go to Caffe Baci, but unfortunately I didn't know that it closed at 7. Boo to that. So we walked to the Cheesecake Factory at the Hancock building. Yum yum yum. lol And that's a pretty good walk too, from Union Station. lol Yesterday we went to Rodity's and then Cosi for some coffee. Then we just wandered around for a while. It was fun. :-)
Annie and I got free coffee coolers at Caribou today, whoo! Didn't do much else today that's noteworthy. Made cookies with my bro.
Oh yes. Yesterday I practiced violin for the first time since my last U of I concert, which was at the end of April. hehehe I also went back to the piano for a while, though that practice session was not nearly as successful as the previous one. lol
