David and I hung out downtown Friday night. Had dinner at Caffe Baci, which was pretty good, except that the guy totally burnt our pizzas and had to make us new ones. We smelled them burning before he did. Anyway, we had some interesting discussions, then headed to Borders, where I made the music purchases described in the previous blog entry. Hung out at his apartment for a while and played Monopoly, then got some ice cream from Cold Stone before I caught the train home.
Saturday Dave and I went to the Fire game. It was tons of fun, even though they lost. The new stadium is pretty nice, and the fans get really into it. I've only been to one other Fire game, back when they were still playing at Soldier Field. So it was good to watch them again. We had awesome seats and I just really enjoyed the game.
Yesterday I was a complete lazy-ass. I watched sports for 6 1/2 hours. Straight. Started with the World Cup Final (Italy won!), which was a great game, but I was disappointed that it had to come down to PKs. So that game ends, and we turn on the Sox...19 innings!!! It was absolutely ridiculous. At least we won after all that. It was the length of two complete games. Insane. A lot of people left the park by then, but I totally would have stayed the whole time. hehe Yay for my White Sox!!
My brother and I saw "Pirates of the Carribbean: Dead Man's Chest" last night. It was pretty good...but nothing was resolved at the end so it just makes you want to see the third one. Which I'm sure I will. lol I did like the first one better, so I hope the third one kicks some real ass. :-P
