Pre-opera dinner

This will be the first of three posts about the past weekend, which was awesome. I'll start with dinner Saturday night, at Lloyd's, on Wacker. It's becoming the standard "pre-opera dinner" place for my friends and I. (I say standard, though it's only been three times so far! Hopefully it'll be more...) It's always delicious and very relaxed. I tried their tortellini with peas and bacon in a cream sauce (it also comes with mushrooms, but I hate mushrooms), and it was really good. (I forgot to take a picture, though...oops!) Most of their food is what you'd find at any "American grill" type of restaurant, but it's a little pricier. It's worth it, though, and dessert is just as good as dinner:
That would be the mint-chocolate-brownie sundae. Oh man. When our waiter brought it to the table he said "Here's your mint-chocolate-brownie sundae...I'm so jealous..." You know that's a good sign.
