About a month ago, one of my closest friends moved to New Orleans, and he was in town for part of this week for a conference. He leaves tomorrow, so we went to brunch today. Since he was staying with his mom in the suburbs, we decided to get brunch in the suburbs, at Prasino, in La Grange. I had been there a few times before, but not for breakfast, and their breakfast menu had always looked really good so...finally, an excuse to go. : ) I do really like the food at this place, but my first impression was that it seemed to be a bit pretentious, but I'm warming up to it more each time. At any rate, they do have good food (lots of local ingredients too) and it's also pretty healthy. This morning I had the Southwestern Skillet with multi-grain toast (which came with both strawberry and blueberry jelly):
Very yummy indeed. Their booths are rather comfy as well. Definitely worth checking out. : )
